Michelangelo "Tricky Micky" D'Vario
"There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who take what they get, and those who get what they take. I don't know about you, but I prefer to be the latter."
It was a snowy day in Hoboken when the fifth son of the leader of the infamous Spades was born, though he may as well have been the first. None of the older boys were alive by the time the fifth was born, all having been assassinated by enemies of their father. The fate of the organization was resting on the unborn child's shoulders heavily. He had to be the heir, there was no other way. There was no time for a sixth try. It had to be the fifth. But all that hope was shot to ruin when the boy was born two months early on one of the coldest days on record. Born at only 200 g, there was very little chance of the boy living for very long, and even his mother had little hope. As time passed though, and the infant grew into a young boy, it became apparent that he was much stronger than he looked, a fact which was proved more so when he enter the more rougher grades of school. Where most boys his size would be subject to bullying and heartbreak, the boy was the one who made others cry. Many feared him, but also many loved him, it was the perfect balance, fear and love, and with all that he did, he eventually gained the title of Tricky Mickey, for the games he often played on other, and his insistence on being called Mickey rather than the name his mother gave him at birth, in hopes of making him stronger. Michelangelo D'Vario, a regal sounding name if any. Many of his peers assumed he was some kind of royalty in his younger years of primary school, and he took advantage of it, but as time went on and he entered secondary school, he learned that false royalty was not something others looked up to, and so chose a more common name, at his mother's disappointment. From then on, the boy worked hard everyday to prove to his father that he could be the leader the man needed, but time and time again the man only looked down on the boy with resentment. It even went as far as the boy attacking his father, but each time the man would win hands down. The boy's mother tried desperately to get the boy to just give up, but he refused, and even with all that she gave him, he was never satisfied. He loved his mother though, as she loved him, and he made she to make her happy as often as he could. So when he was seventeen and she bought him a new game where he could practice his fighting, he decided to at least humor her. He soon regretted it though when he found he couldn't escape, and knew any ground he'd made with impressing his father would be completely shattered, even if he did make it out of the game. Instead, he decided to use the game to advantage. If he couldn't be a leader in the real world, then he'd just have to become one in the virtual world. So he created a clan, or in his mind, an organization of his very own. He called it the Fool's Deck, to mock his father's Spades, and did everything he knew his father would hate. He cut out murder and 'physical persuasion' from his ideals and focused on the profit he could bring in with the power he would hold. He decided that rather be a group to be feared, he wanted to be a group to be revered, and occasionally feared by those who stood in their way. The boy knew it would be challenging at first, trying to gain respect as a leader with his small physic, and with his chosen class of gunner, he knew he'd face some challenges to come when it came to aiming his Colt M1911. Though he could still mostly see without his glasses, the world was fuzzy, and made it difficult to fully determine what certain things were. Even still, he never let the defect hinder his abilities, and rather focused on making his other senses strong when he had the chance, such as hearing. Thinking logically, the boy chose metal as his element at the beginning of the game, planning to use the ability to create ammo whenever he needed it. He goes by Mickey in this world, as he did in school, and despite being smaller than average at just under four and a half feet in height and only a mere fifty-four pounds, many could even call him attractive with his messy black hair and silvery gray eyes.

Kelleigh "Black Jack" Jackson
Kelleigh was always the big brute growing up, taller and stronger than all those around him, but he was never the bully, or the type to try and cause trouble. He was the scapegoat when it came to those who were always up to no good, the fall guy for people who didn't have the time to pay for whatever they did. He was constantly serving detention in school for things he didn't do, such as beating other kids up and stealing, a life which lead into his life of crime after he graduated and dropped out of college. If the world was going to see him as a villain, he saw no reason to try to prove them wrong. He was no killer though, and the worst he ever did was hurt a few other criminals who were going to harm innocent people. In a way, he was more of a chaotic good character. He did good but still broke the rules. He'd lie, steal, and cheat to bring down those that the authorities couldn't, and protect those that couldn't protect themselves. Kelleigh is a very imposing figure, standing a near seven feet tall with a build like a mountain. He has black hair which is seen only through his beard, as he was known to shave his head in the real world, and has dark skin and dark eyes to match. He came to play Alternate Universe when he got his hands on a copy of the game and a NerveGear at the age of 23, three years into his 'criminal career.' He got it from one of the criminals he'd taken down, them having stolen the game initially, and him having taken it before the police could find it. Having always had a certain affinity for gaming, he decided to give it a try, seeing no real harm. Unlike most, Kelleigh was fairly calm with the news of being trapped, and was even quick to start looking for a new life. In fact, he was actually invited into the Fool's Deck by Mickey himself. The small leader told him that the group needed someone strong and imposing, some muscle, to give it that feel of truly being the 'organization' he wanted it to be. In other words, it seemed, he needed someone who could actually look the part of a leader who wouldn't be easily over thrown, and, as it would happen, many people actually mistake Kelleigh for the leader. Upon joining the game, Kelleigh chose to be a rogue, using lightning and a large Bowie knife to his advantage in the many battles he knew he'd face.

Devyn "Deadly Deuce" Volkov
Only one thing can be said for this seventeen year old twin, and that is simply: You will never know him. Not truly anyway. He is never himself. Or is he always himself? No one knows. It's nearly impossible to know for sure. Sometimes he is a calm and patient young man, proper and articulate, but silent and a bit antisocial; other times he is the complete opposite: wild and violent, crude and to the point, and overall loud and charismatic. No, he is not bi-polar, and no, he does not have dissociative identity disorder. Devyn is completely healthy, and completely sane. That is, unless enjoying switching places with your identical twin brother and fooling everyone into thinking you're each other is a mental illness. Yes, Devyn has a twin brother, and both boys absolutely love to switch places. So much in fact, and so well too, that no one but them knows who's who, not even their parents could figure it out on most occasions. Not since they were three and traded beds for a night. After that, no one knew who was who, and they kept it that way, relishing the secret. All throughout school Devyn and his brother would switch places, especially once separate classes came in. That way, even though one was better in math and science, and the other was better in language and history, both were passing all their classes. Many people disliked their constant switching though, some even despised it, and eventually, Devyn and his brother were outcast by their peers, left with only each other. They didn't mind though. After all, if others couldn't appreciate their humor, why should they waste time on them? Rather, Devyn and his brother spent their time playing games, mainly online games, and were quick in getting AUO upon its release. They agreed to make identical characters, and try to fool people inside the game the same way they did out, and so Devyn and his brother both became a gunner, each choosing a matching pair of twin pistols for their weapon, and the element of ice. When everything changed and they were stuck in the game for good, Devyn and his brother were actually excited. A whole new world to fool, and whole new levels to try it at. They came up with a plan, a new game, with higher stakes. Can you figure out what the game is? Can you even figure out which twin is which?
