Clan members hide their true selves behind both a metaphorical mask and a physical mask. Clan nicknames are that of an animal which is represented by their physical mask and an emotion or simple adjective represented by their metaphorical mask. Having "the" at the beginning is optional and members will causally be referred to by their animal. Eg. The Hollow Jackal, called Jackal for short.

Kennith Kendra "The Hollow Jackal" Flynn
The story of Kennith Kedra Flynn is quite the unusual one. Born completely paralyzed, Kennie, as they have always preferred to be called, spent the first part of their life in a wheelchair, having everything done for them. Kennie grew up in Central Nauka, a small man-made continent developed by the Japanese, which was eventually taken by the United States before finally claiming independence and becoming a country of their own and quickly claiming technology as their major export. Growing up, Kennie faced many difficulties, as there really wasn't much they could do. Not even school was an option, so Kennie received advanced education through homeschooling. However, at the age of ten, a local research lab developed a prototype for an artificial spine, complete with skeletal system, and even an enhanced respiratory system. It was designed to give those who had lost the ability to use their legs another chance as well as increase stamina and much more, but it was Kennie who volunteered to be the first test subject upon hearing about it from their father. Though Kennie's father was hesitant, the other scientists running the project were more than eager to give it a shot. After all, if it could bring movement to an entire body which had never had the capability to move, why couldn't it bring movement back to legs which had once moved? The operation turned out a success, though even with the system in place, it took over a year of physical therapy for Kennie to be able to move without assistance, much like an infant learning to walk. With their newfound freedom, Kennie insisted on going to public school, however, it was through this that Kennie became the closed off person they are now, and through this that Kennie learned how cruel people can truly be. Put shortly, Kennie was brutally ridiculed for their special condition, most often being called a robot for the eternal, metal spine attached to their back. This ridicule eventually caused Kennie to give up on making friends, and they soon closed off completely, even to their family. Art was the only place Kennie showed their true emotions, specifically through dance. Kennie's artificial spine allowed them to preform amazing interpretive dace numbers, granting them extreme flexibility beyond that of most average humans. Kennie even found that their strength and speed had been increased by the technology, along with many other aspects, but most importantly, Kennie found that the enhancements even carried over into the virtual world. Kennie took up gaming during physical therapy, the scientists claiming it would give them practice in learning to move their muscles without exerting themself. Their gaming interest only peaked once they closed off to the world, finding the other worlds to be safe haven escapes from their life. A place Kennie could hide their true self and speak to others as they always dreamed they'd be able to do. Unfortunately, that safe haven became a mentally scarring prison once Kennie decided to play AUO. With their avatar melted away to show their true appearance, Kennie was again treated as a freak by those they'd hoped to be friends, and again, Kennie closed off to the world. They started the Sealed Souls clan as a single hope if finding those who would accept their true appearance. Kennie is a short swordsman, with short, light brown hair and beautiful green-hazel eyes. They wield two sickle shaped swords called shotels, one ebony, and one ivory, and use the element of death, a bit symbolically really.

Holland "The Raging Jackrabbit" McKrae
A small, usually quiet 19 year old girl with black hair and dark grey eyes, hailing from Russia. She is fast when she feels the need to be, and is quite good at hiding when she sees no other option. When angered however, she's a damn good fighter, a little ball of burning rage. She's a gunner and very skilled with her twin pistols, almost the level of a sniper from a distance, her aim is so good and her hands so steady, but that isn't to say that she's weaker up close. She can hit pretty hard when fighting up close, channeling her element of lightning into her hands and feet to give herself an extra edge, and she doesn't hesitate to fight dirty either, often aiming for the more sensitive areas of the body whenever she can. "Bunny" doesn't like talking much, personally thinking words to be useless and too easily faked, where actions are almost always truthful and worth much more. It doesn't help her much that she has such trouble connecting with people, seeming to always expect to be hurt somehow. Doesn't reach out when she needs help, almost always trying to deal with things on her own, which almost inevitably makes things worse for herself. She has a slight limp, most of the time difficult to notice, but it becomes more pronounced when she is badly injured or too tired to keep it hidden. She's a severe insomniac, so at most she sleeps a few hours every couple of days, though more often it's less. She doesn't remember the last time she had a good solid night of sleep... She joined Sealed Souls because she liked the idea of hiding along with everyone else, and because the masks required by the clan would hide away the large bruise on her face, a remnant from reality that is permanently etched onto her face because unlike reality, marks like that don't fade with time in a digital game.
